The TCL Z100-SW wireless subwoofer can be paired directly to select TCL Google TVs using the TV’s Speaker Management (Z100) feature. Once connected, the Z100-SW adds deeper bass while allowing the TV speakers to continue playing audio.
This feature is currently available on the following TCL Google TV models:
- QM6K-QM6K Pro-QM7K-QM8K-QM9K
- QM7L-QM7L Pro-QM8L
- RM9L
- X11L
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- A TCL Z100-SW wireless subwoofer
- The included AC power cord
- A compatible TCL Google TV with the Speaker Management (Z100) option
- A strong 5GHz Wi-Fi connection on the TV
For best performance, place the Z100-SW within 10 meters, or about 30 feet, of the TV during setup.
Note: The menu names and available settings may vary slightly depending on the TV model and software version.
Step 1: Connect the Subwoofer to Power
- Place the Z100-SW near the TV.
- Connect the included AC power cord to the subwoofer.
- Plug the power cord into a working wall outlet.
When powered on for the first time, the Z100-SW should automatically enter pairing mode. The LED indicator will flash or show a breathing effect to indicate it is ready to connect.
Step 2: Pair the Z100-SW with the TV
Using the TCL Google TV remote, go to:
- Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output Settings > Speaker Management (Z100) > Pair and Manage > Add New Device
- The TV will begin searching for nearby compatible Z100 devices.
- When the Z100-SW appears on the screen, select it to begin pairing.
Important: Do not cast, open apps, change inputs, or use other TV functions while pairing is in progress.
Step 3: Confirm the Audio Output Setting
After the Z100-SW is paired, confirm that the TV is set to use the external subwoofer audio option.
Go to:
- Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output Settings > Audio Output
- Select External Subwoofer if it is not already selected.
- This allows the TV to output audio through the Z100-SW and the TV speakers at the same time.
Step 4: Complete Any On-Screen Setup or Calibration
After pairing, the TV may display additional setup or calibration prompts. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
For best results:
- Keep the room as quiet as possible during calibration.
- Do not move the subwoofer while calibration is running.
- Keep the subwoofer in the same location after calibration is complete.
If the Z100-SW Does Not Pair
